2. 港澳辦及解放軍已重複就運動及示威者公開發表評論。 反修例運動完全屬於香港的地方事務，港澳辦及解放軍的行徑，已涉嫌違反《基本法》第14及22條。
The Progressive Lawyers Group has gathered at Victoria Park to take part in the Civil Human Rights Front assembly here. Our 7 Convenors, past and present, are here together. This is the first time they have appeared together in a Movement event. They wish to emphasise the following 3 points.
1. On 2 August 2019, the Hong Kong Public Opinion Research Institute issued a survey. 79% of the population support the setting up of an independent commission of inquiry into this whole saga. This is a sensible demand of an overwhelming majority of Hong Kong. There is simply no legitimate reason why it has not been acceded to.
2. The Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office and the People’s Liberation Army have repeatedly commented on the saga and its participants. These are clearly internal or local matters and therefore such interference is prima facie in breach of Articles 14 and 22 of Basic Law of HK.
3. In view of the repeated threats of force by the People’s Liberation Army, the people of Hong Kong should state their reasonable demands louder and clearer than ever to show their unyielding determination.
