曾獲普立茲獎的美國記者格林華德（Glenn Greenwald）表示，他工作的《攔截》新聞網站拒絕刊登他批評民主黨總統候選人拜登的文章，他因此辭職。53歲的格林華德，是率先報道斯諾登（Edward Snowden）披露美國政府大規模監控計劃的記者之一。《衛報》的有關報道，獲得2014年普立茲獎最高榮譽的公共服務獎。
格林華德2013年離開英國《衛報》後，與兩名記者共同創立調查新聞網站《攔截》（The Intercept）。格林華德周四在網上貼文表示：「今天，我向我於2013年與斯加希爾及保托拉斯聯合創立的《攔截》，以及其母公司First Look Media提出辭職」。
